Governors cannot sit on state files: Ex-SC judge

Former judge of the Supreme Court and former chairman of the country's law commission Justice B P Jeevan Reddy on Saturday underlined the need for the constitutional authorities like governors to follow good constitutional conventions. Otherwise, he warned, they may have to face inconvenient situations from the state governments because the real power lies with the council of ministers and not with the governors at the state and the President at the Centre.
