Youth gets lifer for impregnating own sister, foetus DNA stands vital piece of evidence

A 31-year-old man from Langar Houz has been sentenced to Rigorous Imprisonment for life and fined Rs 5,000 by T Anitha, the Additional Metropolitan Cum Special Fast track Judge at Nampally, for raping and impregnating his own sister. The verdict was delivered on Tuesday, supported by DNA profiling and scientific evidence. The victim, a seventh-grade student at the time, and her family members turned hostile during the trial.
