More States Ban Cough Syrup 'Coldrif' Amid Child Deaths

In a latest development, the medicine Coldrif has been banned in Karnataka, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh, bringing the total to eight states banning the cough syrup. The Union Health Ministry convened an emergency high-level meeting with health secretaries and drug control officials from all states and Union Territories following multiple child deaths linked to the syrup.
